The mission of F3 is to plant grow and serve small workout groups for men and for the invigoration of male community leadership.
- Workouts are always free
- Are open to all men
- Held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
- Lead by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification needed.
- End with a Circle of Trust (COT)
I reminded the Mambas of that famous scene from the Lion King where Mofasa is showing Simba the boundaries of the pride lands. Mofasa tells Simba everything the light touches is theirs. Simba asks “but what is that shadowy place?” Mofasa says “that is beyond our borders, we must never go their Simba.”
I let the Mambas know they have entered that shadowy place and that everything the darkness touches is ours.
Warm O Rama:
The Mambas did their own thing called Mamby night clubs or something like that but we Scorpions quickly got their attention with slaughter starters (20 burpees oyo).
Workout:
Ultimate Frisbee and 4 corners
While two teams of paxs battled it out in Ultimate frisbee the remaining paxs completed as many rounds of four corners as possible. Each round accumulating a point for their team.
1st corner – 20 burpees
2nd corner – 40 squats
3rd corner – 60 plank jacks
4th corner – 80 overhead presses.
During game play every time a team scored the opposing team had to perform 20 monkey humpers.
The team with the most points accumulated during Ultimate Frisbee and 4 corners would be the winner.
While the Mambas dominated the Scorpions in Ultimate Frisbee the Scorpions were able to squeeze out a few more rounds of 4 corners securing the win and keeping the Golden chain from going back over the river.
The Scorpions anxiously await January when the Mambas will attempt to win the chain back. For now, we will enjoy parading around the beloved golden chain that dawns the Scorpion and the Mamba.
Big shout out to the Mambas they are an extremely motivating bunch. I love how tight they all are with eachother and I am especially thankful for their competitive spirit that started the battle of the bridge. Till next time gents.
