9 PAX: YHC (HushPuppy), Spin Doctor, Shakespeare, BallBearing, Geiger, Sheepshead, Pledge, 10 Count, Picasso
On a gorgeous and warm May morning, 9 PAX converged at Ogden Park for a unique workout. In the Cape Fear Region of F3, we have created a tradition called #ShieldLockFriday. A day of the week to dedicate and intentionally gear workouts towards a time of sharing, safety, and brotherhood. At times, PAX can get caught up in the beatdown and miss the glue of what holds us together; community.
The PAX circled up at 0530 sharp, with the knowledge that some form of sharing was going to take place. YHC is the 3rd-F Q of our region and #ShieldLockFriday gets me all kinds of excited and jacked up!!! We began with some friendly banter and a Warm-O-Rama:
Warm-O-Rama: Windmills x10, Gravel Pickers x10, Hillbillies x15, Goofballs x20
After a quick laugh from completing the goofballs, the PAX set off on an Ogden Park Prayer Mosey. YHC would lead the PAX on a fellowship paced mosey around the park, stopping at various locations. At each location, the PAX would complete 10 Burpees OYO (aiding in our Region’s journey to the top of the 1 Million Burpee Challenge). Following the burpees, the YHC would throw out a shield lock question to the PAX to ponder and hopefully share after 1 of the PAX gave us an exercise to complete for a 20 count. PAX could share their shield lock answers during the exercises or once the prayer mosey continued.

Stop 6: Water Tower: 10 Burpees OYO, What is a struggle you have had to battle during these past few months? 20 Copperhead Squats
Stop 7: Entrance Parking Lot: 10 Burpees OYO, What other struggles have we had to deal with? 20 LBCs

PAX then decided to embrace the suck and complete extra burpees until we reach 1000 total burpees as a group for the morning! Strong work to all. So many amazing things shared this morning. YHC was truly blessed to be able to Q this morning and share his own struggles and hear others. We are created to be together, so we need to continue to sharpen each other.
