We had 3 groups of PAX out there in the gloom for my 49th B-day…….and Seahorse sweat enough for all of us.

WARM-UP:

  • Side Straddle Hop x 30 IC
  • Gravel Pickers x 20
  • 10 Burpees OYO
  • Hillbillies x 20 IC
  • 10 Burpees OYO

Mosey to the tennis courts for the Thang.

THE THANG:

Bill Murray

We paid tribute to the greatest pound for pound actor of all-time and did some Bill Murrays.  If you’ve seen Groundhog Day you’ll know what we mean.

PAX moseyed to the other side of the tennis courts and performed the below exercises for 5 rounds.  We waited for the Six in high plank after each round.

Merkins x 10

LBC’s x 10

Bobby Hurley’s x 10

Burpees x 10

11’s

We did ATM’s and Everests for our 11’s.  An ATM is an alternating shoulder tap, tempo merkin, and mountain climber.  Everest is a step-up followed by a squat, fun stuff.  At this point, Seahorse was drenched.

Dead-Stop Burp and Merk  

We finished with some dead-stop burp and merks.  These are burpees with ascending merkins, for 10 rounds.  Seahorse turned into a walking puddle after round 4.

Mary

We did 10 more burpees and finished with some Canoe Mary x 10.

COT/MOLESKIN:

What better way to celebrate a birthday.  I’m only 365 days away from “respect”.

P-Doc, congrats on the new opportunity.  Please get me Will Smith’s autograph if you see him.  Come back and see us.

The Thing, I love that name!  That and “Smog” are my favorite.  Can we switch names….maybe for a week?

We honored Pony Express’s dad Bronco today.  Let’s all hit that meal train and show our support for the Rouse family in this difficult time.  We love you Pony and are here for you if you need anything!!

As I’m typing I just noticed that we passed Chattanooga for first place in the burpee challenge, great job PAX!!!!!  Let’s finish strong this week and be sure to register your burpees.  Hopefully, the next challenge is baby arm circles.
