QIC: Busted Grill
The PAX: Morpheus, Messi, The Adjuster, Wreck-it-Ralph, Dixie Chick, Pony Express, Niles, Flight Nurse, Tiny Dancer
Warm up: After disclaimer and notification that this would be a meathead workout leaving brains free for thoughts about how to brighten up today for someone in your life. We warmed up with 20 seal claps IC, 20 Imperial Walkers IC, and 15 whatever Ralph calls those upper torso rotations IC.
The Thang: Mosey to Goose Poop Island. First ones there start burpees. Morpheus forced the PAX to bear crawl the bridge, which we all dutifully did (lawyers have that effect on people). Is that a mini-Hoff? We paired up and did 200 dips, 200 step ups, and 200 partner assisted sit ups each in whatever breakdown you preferred. Since no brains were needed, YHC tried to resurrect idea about brightening up somebodies’ day, but partner conversation seemed to dominate. The 1st team to complete all three were supposed to call out recover and we all stop. The 135 year old team got to 7/8ths completion and recover was called to leave time for the 2nd “half”. Mosey to pull up bars for 50 pull ups, 100 merkins, and 150 squats each. Less team dialog on this part, brains probably tired from all the mumblechatter. Mosey back to flag with a jailbreak at the end. Some of us must have get out of jail free cards, Niles and Pony Express must not.
Mary: Only time for 30 flutter kicks IC. Strong work by all. Lots of team partner mumblechatter was good to hear.
COT: The Red Cape, interesting locally filmed movie about the Wilmington massacre in 1898 worth seeing, at the Point theaters for another day or so. Daddy camp still has some openings. I forgot to include the tough ruckers in prayer, so here’s a prayer for their safety and endurance.
A privilege and a pleasure, BG
