Warm-Up Mosey | All pax took a .5-mile loop through the northeast corner of Veterans Park returning to the flags and parking lot.
Pax split into two teams for some strong work in the parking lot using the parking stripes along 4 parking rows.
Team one would start on northeast corner of a section of parking lot and team two would start on the northwest corner of the same parking lot.
Pax run to first parking stripe, complete a merkin, and return to starting point. Rinse and repeat ascending to the twelfth parking stripe completing the same number of merkins for the stripe they were on (1, 2, 3 … 10, 11, 12).
Team on west side of parking lot placed outside, right hand, on curb with left hand on parking lot surface while doing merkin. Team on east side did the same with left hand elevated on parking block and right hand on parking lot.
Once both teams finished with their outside row of the parking lot and their merkins, both teams moved to next row of parking spots in the center of parking lot and worked the parking stripes. Pax completed burpees ascending along the parking stripes from 1 through 12.
Once both teams finished with their row in the center of the parking lot, teams would move to next center row of the lot – the third row for each – and started to work the stripes. Pax completed squats ascending along the parking stripes from 1 through 12.
Once both teams finished with their 3rd row on the inside of the parking lot, both teams moved to the outside of the parking lot working their 4th row on the opposite side from where they started.
Back to merkins ascending from 1 through 12 along the stripes now with their opposite hand elevated.
Pax who finished first began some Mary work under the light in the center of the parking lot.
All pax finished up with 30 Flutter Kicks, IC and returned to the flags.
Strong work by 9 PAXs!
Screaming Eagle looked like the United Nations with lots of flags unfurled including the France’s Tricolour. Fully 1/3rd of today’s posting pax have their roots where you can visit the Lourve and view the Mona Lisa, which has been housed there since 1797.
Welcome FNG, Green Light, a French paratrooper brought to the gloom by CrepeFace and Flo.
It was cool and breezy, but the weather could have been much worse. Many pax ditched an outer layer as we worked the stripes and were beat down by burpees.
Look for a link from sir_mix_a_lot who will be manning a clown-car with four others on Saturday for a free race of laps as they prepare for the Southern Ultra. You can come along and run as many, or as few, laps as you’d like. Commute is about 90-minutes.
Prayers for Latecia, a young thirty-two-year-old woman in France battling breast cancer.
Prayers for all of those traveling throughout the holidays – either returning from family or driving locally.
Strong Work!!! Honor to be the Q. Merci beaucoup!
